Hi All,

Just a quick note to let you know that the next public lecture of Birds
Australia is on Thursday 14 April 2005 at 8:00pm. We are very fortunate
to have as our guest speaker Neil MacFarlane, who will discuss long-
term monitoring of Malleefowl in Victoria. The talk will be held at our
usual venue - the theatrette at Strathcona Grammar School, Scott St,
Canterbury, Melbourne(Melways Ref. 46 D12).

Neil's talk will provide an understanding of the status, risks and
opportunities for the Mallee Fowl, as well as the methods of
monitoring, the results and the long-term trends for this endangered
species. For more information on how to become a volunteer for the
Victorian Malleefowl Recovery Group see
