Hi all,
Normally the Yellow-faced Honeyeater migration begins during late
March here with flocks flying north over my house in Katoomba, NSW
and on most fine-weather mornings throughout autumn. Last year the
start was a little late with the first flocks not appearing until
31st March.
It's now the last day of March again and I haven't seen one migrating
honeyeater yet. I heard a single Yellow-faced calling two days ago,
but no sign of any migration or even any grouping of restless
individuals. Surely they will start moving through any day now!
Earlier in the month there were many Spotted Pardalotes flying
through, in groups of up to 20 birds.
