Last week I spent a few days away, and the birding was pretty good.

Round Hill was excellent - the mistletoe was flowering and there was a
wonderful variety of Honeyeaters. Both Grey Fronted and White Fronted were
new for me. Also Singing, Striped, Spiny Cheeked, Yellow Plumed, White
Plumed, White Eared and common as well as Yellow Throated Miners.

I also found Red Cap Robin, Weebill, Bellbird, Mulga Parrot and Mallee
Ringneck,as well as Spotted Bowerbird.

Major Mitchells were all over in town at Lake, and they are truly
magnificent birds. On Curlew Water there were seven Great Crested Grebe.

On the way to Lake, I found Superb Parrots near Grenfell, at exactly the
place where Andy Burton suggested that I look.

Raptors on the trip were;
Wedge Tailed Eagle
Little Eagle
Swamp Harrier
Whistling Kite
Brown Falcon
Hobby
Black Shouldered Kite

At Leeton's Five Bough Swamp, there were the common ducks as well as Blue
Billed, Pink Eared, Shovellers, Shellduck, Hoary and Little Grebes, and a
lone Freckled Duck.

All told I saw over 120 birds, and got some nice pics.
