Dear Friends,
Just to let you know that I have uploaded my latest dataset to my website,http://worldbirdinfo.net
Some of the cnages may not be immediately obvious.
First, I discovered there were some programming problems with the website, in that searches for Genus, Subgenus
Generic Synonyms produced an error message. I have fixed that.
A more difficult problem is that if you search for Citations,Scientific Synonyms etc, it delivers the whole of my Latin names file.
Of course, everything you need is in there.  But at 40 Meg, it would take rather a long time to download!
I have asked my programmer to fix this, and hopefully it will be working OK in a few days.
I have spent some time back-filling. For example, I checked every reference to Museum Heineanum, in the Latin file, and they are now 100% accurate.
Sterna hirundo is still incomplete in its distribution. I have already spent about 10 hours on it.
Please think of the labor that goes into this when you access the website.
It's all free!
