Hi all,
It is interesting to see the number of coastal NSW
reports of Fork-tailed Swifts during the past week or so. Following on
from my recent observation at Woody Head, Russell Jago and I saw 5+ Fork-tailed
Swifts at Lawrence yesterday, February 10.
Andrew Ley advised me that he observed 100+ at
Woody Head on 11 February 1997. This prompted me to check my records for
the past 26 years. My Fork-tailed Swift sighting are as
follows:
02.01.03 1 with WTNs at Iluka
NR.
29.11.02 2 with WTNs at Brooms
Head.
03.12.02 18+ at Brooms

November.
