Saturday Jan 22 saw 25 members of the Cumberland Bird Observers Club in Bicentennial Park at Homebush, where we watched approx 200 White-throated Needletails feeding overhead from treetop level up to 200 metres high for about half an hour around 10 am.  Marvellous sight!  The storm finally arrived at 7 pm.

Also 11 Red-necked Avocets at the wetlands near the bird hide.
