G'day,

Happy new year to you all.

Yesterday at Biboorah, northern Atherton Tablelands we were picking mangoes
for our southern relatives: life is tough here in the tropics! My attention
was taken by the swoop of a pale creamy raptor. Jumped in the car and
followed the bird. What a beautiful falcon! I doubt that it was a mature
bird as the cere was not very yellow. The red on the back and legs
contrasted with the grey head and lightly streaked cream breast. It appeared
to catch a grasshopper but I could not see its prey well enough to be
certain.

Regards,
Alan Gillanders
