Hello all,
Merry Christmas. Some time ago I asked for information on what species of
birds are used on Christmas cards. I received hundreds of replies, and many
people asked if I could send them the results. Instead of sending a lot of
e-mails, I have put the lists on my website. All in all it covers 9
countries and about 81 species. I received replies from birders in both
Africa and India who told me that in their countries Christmas cards often
portray a white dove, this is to symbolise peace and happiness as well as a
Christmas greeting. To view the list click on "Photo Album" on my website.

Have a great day.
All the best,
Eddie Chapman, Voss. Norway.
