Hi all,

I am going on a holiday for a week in early January and staying at Kingfisher Park in Julatten in N Qld. I am intending of doing some birding in the Cairns vicinity on the way up after arrival of my flight, and potentially on the return trip. I am particularly interested in mangroves and wetlands (although I am intending on doing a Mossman river trip when based at Kingfisher Park), and lowland habitats/species which may be easier to see in this area. At the moment I am considering the Esplanade, the Botanic Gardens, and the Centenary Lakes (although I am not sure where the latter are at the moment). Any feedback appreciated. Cheers.

Frank
