A ruff* in non-breeding (basic) plumage was present Friday afternoon 26/11 at the Borrow Pits at the WTP – in the same shallow pond as 16 Glossy Ibis and several Black-tailed Native Hen (along with many other waders, stilts, ducks, etc).  Presumably the same bird that has been being seen at the Farm for many weeks now.

[* My confident (but potentially flawed?) identification was independently confirmed by my birding companions for the afternoon, Eric Thorsson from Sweden, and Jeremy & Jill Aldred from the UK.  Just the sort of people to have along when a Ruff heaves into view!]
