Dear All,

It seems that ferrets are harder to eliminate in this news-group than they would be in the wild. To clear up the nomenclature, the common ferret, Mustela putorius furo, is a sub-species of Mustela putorius the European polecat. The genus Mustela also contains ermine, mink and weasels. I any one is interested in the taxonomy, have a look at http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/classification/Mustelinae.html#Mustelinae.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford
