Nick and other Birds,
Here on the NSW Central Coast at both Warnervale Tip (Wyong LGA) and Woy Woy Tip (Gosford LGA), White Ibis and Pelicans are common scavengers. There is no water at the tips, esxcept for some small drainage dams at the edges, so to see these grotesque, dirty Pelicans, scrabbling over the freshly tipped rubbish is very incongruous! Up to 300 White Ibis and 100 pelicans can be seen at Warnervale tip and lesser numbers at the Woy Woy tip.
