This a common name for Grey-crowned Babbler. My dad who grew up on a NE
NSW farm uses it.  Incidentally - as I remind my students incessantly  -
you can answer this question with google, e.g. a search for happy families
bird queensland.  Of course, they are too young to appreciate how amazing
this is.
