I thought someone more knowledgable might field this.
Anyway, add this book on your Christmas list:

 Christidis, L. and WE Boles. 1995. Taxonomy and Species of Birds of
 Australia and its Territories. Royal Australasian Ornithologists Union,
 Melbourne.

There has been a split proposed of E. scolopacea into 3 species including
E. cyanocephala but Christidis & Boles didn't accept it of insufficient
information.
