----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

The Ruff, which was first reported by Birdline on the 2nd, was seen by a
number of observers between about 13:30 and 15:30 Friday. It was at the
water's edge in the series of small bays on the N shore of the Paradise Rd
Lagoon at the extreme eastern end (near the gate to the Little River) -
slightly further west than the old boardwalk where it has been seen before.
Thanks Dave Torr.

A Brown Gerygone on the main track north of the car park of the Ferntree

the car park converge and the start of the 'thousand steps'. It was singing
briefly and feeding in vegetation at about head height on the left hand side
of the track as you head uphill. Also Red-browed Treecreeper, a few Rose
Robins, Long-billed Scrubwren and two Wedge-tailed Eagles over. Thanks Simon
Mustoe.
