Heard our first Koel of this season last Tues (28/9) whilst visiting friends at Mothar Mountain near Gympie, SEQ. And today our first at home here at Maleny.A pair of Spangled Drongos arrived on 1/10 and look to be scouting-out a tree used last year for breeding (? same pair?). Sacred Kingfishers calling regularly, and a pair of Wooduck hanging around our ever-diminishing dam, but more intent on investigating hollows in the surrounding gums.
