Hi All,

On the way back from an 8 week family orientated return trip to Brisbane and
Kakadu I was interested to see a group of about 50 Glossy Ibis about 2km N of
Coleambally in an flood irrigated roadside rice(?) paddock. Did not have the
time to have a thorough look but there were a few Black Duck as well, however I
did not see any other ibis.

Back here at Violet Town we have had good rains, the place is overgrown and
there are birds everywhere, the Collared Sparrowhawks are back at their nest
for the 3rd year. The frog chorus last night was very loud
Regards
Barry
