I didnt see the bird, but I think I may have heard its
call. I am definitely not expert in bird calls, but I thought I had heard the sound somewhere before, but couldn't recall it.
When I got back home and played back my "Birds of Tassie CD"
which has Ground Parrots, I found that it was the Ground Parrot
I thought it was like. Does anyone know if there is anything even
remotely similar to Ground parrots call at the Little Desert?
All I recall are series of squeaks/whistles, slowy rising in
frequency, then repeated. It was also in the afternoon, and not
dawn or dusk.
