Hi all,

Saw a young Brush Turkey on the Drive way of Terrigal Avenue, Turramurra in Sydneys North Today at 5:00pm.

The bird was walking around and pecking at bits of bread that were left out for it.
This is the first one I have ver seen in Sydney.

The habitat is ok and Sheldon Forest is just across the road where there is some suitable habitat, but the way the bird was acting it looked as though it was quite hungry as there was a kid throwing bread at him and despite the manner at which he was throwing it the bird happilly "gobbled" up each piece.

Sheldon forest would be a suitable habitat for Turkeys as there is a mixture of damp gulley forest along the creek and sandstone woodland.

Regards,

Kurtis Lindsay
