G'day all,

        One of our members on Envirotalk has asked a
question about seabird numbers and fishing.  I thought
that members of this forum may be able to provide her
with a really good answer. (And for those who have
visited before - we have turned that membership box
that keeps appearing, off)

"When i was reading the polls about the fishing
trawler, and then this article it really brought home
to me the possibility of a similar event occuring in
Australia, with out precious and unique seabirds. The
scenario in the mother country, is that a particularly
bad breeding season for their local seabirds has
raised questions about the impact of a reduced diet
may be having upon these birds. Now i dont profess to
be an expert on Australian fishing, so those who are
enlighten me; could a reduction in native seabirds due
