Thank you to John and to all the others who have responded (12 in all), I will go with Fantail Cuckoo and female Blackbird, today was a good birding day, the Fantail Cuckoo was a new one for me, and when I visited my favorite site beside the river, there was a tree with about 10 male Scarlet Honeyeaters all perched up high and singing away, quite a sight. When I got home a White-faced Heron was in my back yard (probably checking my compost heap for lizards, I have seen one there before).
