Y T Black cockatoos=rain is possibly a farmers old tale, but one my Grandfather used to mention.
I think in dry times any unusal bird sighting would possibly give hope, especially when the dams were dry.
Pelicans do leave coastal areas when the floods are due in Lake Eyre, someone must know how they do it. Janet
