Although of course this is technically correct, in everyday use, the Western
Hemisphere is considered to be the Americas. Even the Oxford English
Dictionary gives 'Eastern Hemisphere - Europe, Asia, Africa - Western -
America'

Certainly when I lived in the UK, no one would have considered parts of
England/Scotland and all of Wales/Ireland to be in the Western Hemisphere.
