Hi all!
I am thinking of visiting New Zealand in the period
3rd to 17 Sept, mainly to try to see the three Kiwi species.
Are they likely to be calling then?
HANZAB vol 1 says of Brown Kiwi states "onset of
breeding late winter when calling increased"
For Little Spotted Kiwi I know I have to go to
Kapiti or Tiritiri Matangi.HANZAB 1 says"at Kapiti I usually
Sept-Oct"
For Great Spotted Kiwi, HANZAB 1 says: "July to
Nov".
