G'day all,
I am helping chase up information
pertaining to the diet of the superb parrot which will
be factored into revegetation , woodland management
and farmland management strategies. I am particularly
interested in the grass seed component of their diet
and any preferences they may have to particular
species of native grasses. My instincts tell me a
good range of local grasses would be of benefit as
this would increase availability of grass seed over a
wider period and increase the area we can use for
native grasses as we take advantage of their
particular requirements. If however, anyone knows of
any work that has been done on this it would be much
appreciated and directed to good use straight away.
