I have been listening for Song Thrush but have heard none so far this year. In most years I expect to hear them start before the winter solstice, from about 4.00 or 4.30 in the afternoon, if the day isn't too bright. I have to be up early tomorrow so will check then.. Anthea Fleming I have heard Song Thrush singing in the Melbourne Botanic Gardens for the last 2-3 weeks. Thought spring came early this year.
