Thankyou to David, Philip and Greg for their replies to my rather amateur question about Golden Whistler juvenile plumage. I was slack in referring to 'juvenile' plumage when I should have referred to 'immature' or 'first year' plumage.  I will strive to be more accurate in future questions.

While the list does have it's fair share of pedants, I was heartened by the very positive, encouraging and helpful replies I received from the abovementioned folk and the TOTAL lack of criticism I received from the so-called 'picky lot' at Birding-Aus. I think you're all great and that this is a fantastic knowledge base and an entertaining read. Forgive my tentative and somewhat ignorant dips into your minds but I'm a big believer in education and passing on knowledge and consider you to be my teachers.Who is better placed to educate a budding birder?

Let me take a minute to check my punctuation.?;:.... ;-)

I will learn the rules only by playing.

Cheers to you all,
