So can it be suspected that all 18 birds died since all the transmitters stopped transmitting or stayed at one spot? That seems like awfully high mortality. Seems that the Shy Albatross is the true loser. Hopefully, this hold project can make this trend reverse. I saw at one point one of the birds on its way to South America.
