Everyone,

Attended a Hunter Bird Observers mid-week outing today
to the Minmi area, west of Newcastle. The hightlight
of the day being 11 species of raptor. Below are the
places we visited with best species seen:

Minmi cemetary- Peregrine Falcon (1), Grey Goshawk (2)
and a Little Eagle. Satin Bowerbird, White-cheeked
Honeyeater and Shining Bronze-cuckoo.

Minmi- Black Kite. Rare visitor to these parts.
Harassed by Galahs.

Pambalong NR- Wedge-tailed Eagle (2), White-bellied
Sea-eagle (2), Nankeen Kestrel (2), Brown Falcon (2),
Marsh Harrier (2), Whistling Kite (1). Aust. Shoveler
and Yellow-billed Spoonbill.

Lenaghans Drive- Black-shouldered Kite (1). Aust.
Shoveler (30+).

Near by bush- Rose Robin & White-naped Honeyeater.
