I saw what looked like a family of three bazas out for a feed at Gold
Ck reservoir [Brisbane Forest Park] yesterday. They were floating
about the eucalypt canopy, and occasionally would flop in the leaves
with their wings spread to support them while they grabbed their
grub/bug. It was the first time I'd seen birds spread-eagled that way
and was wondering if that was a regular behaviour of bazas. Come to
think of it, that was also the first time I've seen more than one baza
at a time.
