The latest from the Big Bird Race is that Aphrodite's transmitter has begun
responding again.

Any thoughts here? Could it be that the transponder has detached from a
submerged carcass or something? Been discarded on a desk? The transponder
has travelled a long distance since the signal was lost - can a fishing
trawler travel this far in abut 16 days?

It also looks as though Harriet's race is run.
