I heard on ABC news this morning that 'Aphrodite' has disappeared, possibly due to a longliner. Nothing will highlight the plight of these birds better than such a disaster.

There are quite a few possibilities that could account for this signal dropping out. Emotionally one suspects foul play but sensibly there is no conclusion to be drawn.


PS Please lets not have anyone suggesting hailstorms and lightening strikes in the list that I have not bothered to formulate
