I'm not entirely familiar with the various raptors so I'm not 100% sure of this observation, but I feel I recognised a Little falcon. Driving my sons home from school in Adelaide I saw what appeared to be a little falcon on someones front lawn with a fresh kill, a blackbird or starling. Black feathers sprawled about, I stopped the vehicle to watch and the bird took off with its prey hanging from its talons.
The falcon was small and very uniformly coloured, sort of a plum sheen all over, most definitely a falcon.
First I have ever witnessed of this event.,..very cool.

Cheers
Mark
