Hi Nevil, while a majority of NMs appear to nest in the 2nd half of the calendar year, I find that it is not unusual for them to be nesting now. Andy During my early morning walk this morning in the Greenwich ( Sydney) bush, I heard a Noisy Miner making its familiar call - on investigation, there was a nest, quite exposed to the track. There was a chick in the nest, and I watched the parent feeding the chick. Pizzey quotes breeding June - December. Is April breeding most unusual?
