Yesterday (Tuesday) there were "a lot" of Common Terns there and today I
counted 38 on the reef opposite the Tea House at low tide but counts at other
spots later suggested the total could have been over 50.

This would beat the previous record of 47 by Mike Carter on 15 April 2002.

Whistling Kites soaring low, a Great Egret and smaller birds on the move were
good to see as well on this lovely calm autumn day. The weather forecast says
conditions like this will continue for at least 3 days.

PS. One of the terns seemed to have pale primaries - Arctic??
