Melia azedarch is a great tree except for the processional caterpillars. It occurs on all Continents, is Australia's only deciduous-in winter native tree. It has beautiful, fragrant violet-blue flowers covering the tree in spring, attractive light green foliage, and masses of berries which stay on over winter, in some trees these turn orange and the whole tree glows on a sunny winter day.
