Hi all,

Anthea Fleming recently said (in the thread about Wet Fieldguides):

"If anyone remembers the little Gould League books on the Birds of
Southeastern Australia, I learnt about the effect of water on sized
paper the hard way, when one volume happened to be in the picnic basket
when the lid of the milk-jar came off. Pity about that.

These days any book/s carried in my pack will be in a plastic bag of
adequate size, and I no longer put books in the picnic basket."

I don't think Bob Forsyth was on a 'picnic' when his Atlas and Field Guides got
wet.

For those who are not aware, some parts of Mt Isa recently suffered damaging
floods.
