Hi,

They look very slightly different first off. If you see them
calling, you will see the throat hackles in the Australian but
the Little flicks its wings as it does each note in its call.
You can sometimes see the hackles when its not calling.
The Australian has a deeper call, sometimes ending in a gurgle.
The Australian's beak is curvier on the top. In the little, the
is sometimes a distinctive square pouch on its throat.

I have never seen a House Crow or a Forest Raven in Melbourne, but
I think the House Crow is not as black and the Forest Raven has
longer wings than its tail. It also has a deeper voice than the
Australian and also does the gurgle at the end.

Sorry I cant be of much help here as I am at work without and
field guides.

Vin.
