Hi Local Birders,
I am envious when I read about all the beautifull Terns seen around Port Phillip Bay.  In the Winter we have plenty of Crested Tern around the Eastern/Southern end of the Bay.  In Summer these Crested all but disappear, no doubt to their nesting grounds and to the wider unsheltered waters of Bass Strait. But where are the Commons etc.  Why don't they fly to this part of the Bay?
regards,
Ian D
