Hi everyone,

Had a wander around the Yarra Flats area the other day (along the Yarra, from behind the Veneto Club to Heidelberg rd) in Bulleen - an interesting and extensive area with many tracks which wind through a diversity of habitats ranging from Red Gum along the river, to open grassland, European glades and typical woodland.

Saw nothing ground-breaking but there are some good birds considering the location in East-suburban Melbourne - Eastern Shriketit, YTB Cockatoo, Sacred Kingfisher, Common Bronzewing, Fan-tailed Cuckoo, Mistletoebird, Greenfinch and Rufous Whistler etc.

Cheers,
Greg
