Hi all,

Interesting thread about access to treatment ponds.

Last year I thought I'd better formalize my frequent visits
to Murgon Meatworks ponds.....The bloke I spoke to said ,
" We know you are there from time to time but please don't
ask for permission as our PL insurance would forbid it!"

I sympathise with the operators of these places and I'm not
saying birders should go anywhere willy-nilly but there is an
argument to support the softly-softly common-sense approach.

Obviously organizations like BOCA should get formal permission
but individuals can be discrete I think.

PS Murgon is in southern Qld near Kingaroy....great ponds too!

Cheers,

Bill
