Christidis & Boles (1994) has Red-browed Finch, Neochmia temporalis.
That is the current official list until their new version comes out,
hopefully soon ?

Tania

Can someone help with the correct names for the Red-browed finch, I
have
three documents in front of me with three different names and would
appreciate the latest info.

1. Red-Browed finch - Aegintha temporalis - "What bird is that?"

2. Red-Browed firetail - Emblema temporalis - "The birds of Australia"
-
Simpson & Day

3. Red-Browed finch - Neochmia temporalis - "Birdwatching in Sydney" -
Cumberland Bird Observers Club.

Best regards - Mike
