Birding in shorts this morning, went to move down the creek bank to get a better look at a bird in a low tree, and thought to myself, better look at the ground. About one good step in front of me, a Tiger Snake pushing five feet in length coiled ready and waiting! A quiet retreat was accomplished. Duncan Fraser.
