What is this Parrot?

Greetings all parrot experts,
 
I'm trying to identify a parrot seen feeding on the ground in a large mowed-grass reserve near my home in Glenwood, north-west Sydney. (A stone's throw from Parklea Markets, in case that helps)
 
Size was a little smaller than a rosella but larger than a budgie (using high-precision measurements sorry)
 
 
It was alone when I photographed it, but I think there was another in the area and I'm sure I've seen a pair of the same species feeding on roadside verges in the Castle Hill Industrial estate where I work.
 
You may also be interested in some other photos on my site taken with my new Canon 300D - for the record it is excellent.
