Duncan Fraser's posting about magpies using bits  of his garden hardware reminds me of Yellow-throated Miner nests at Mt Wood camping area, Sturt National Park, NSW.

After despairing at the amount of toilet paper seen around various camping sites whilst travelling around it was great to see that the Yellow-throated Miners at Sturt N P were incorporating toilet paper into their nest structures.  Don't know what would happen if it rained whilst they were nesting!!
