What I find interesting is that the bird in the second photo with only its
rear end visible is clearly not a Starling. The story mentions several
starlings catching onto the idea and working as a team, but nowhere does it
mention any other species taking part. It's a bit difficult from the photo
to work out what it is, but the tail is longer and the colouration browner,
even for an immature starling. A hint of barring on the tail suggests a
cuckoo perhaps, though it's impossible to tell for sure.
