Gidday Birders,
I've just returned from a weeks surveying on the north coast of NSW at a spot about 90km NW of Grafton (trip report to follow). The cuckoos arrived while we were there, no brush at the start of the week, but calling by thursday 18th Sept. Channel bills flying south. Fantailed, Horsfields and Shinning Bronze calling in/near eucalypt plantations. But the real treat was Little Bronze-Cuckoo (Tick!) which put on a real show for the playback (just happened to have the tape ready to go), incredible rufous in the tail...

Cheers
