Satin Bowerbird bowers

Satin Bower-birds regularly collect pale greenish objects which vaguely match the colour of the bill of the blue male.  They are particular fond of the peelings from brown onions, the greenish ones just inside the brown outer ones.  Maybe Sulphur-crested Cockatoo crest feathers come within that colour spectrum.

A pretty interesting item for a male Satin Bowerbird to carry when he dances round trying to court his female friends! At least he is well prepared!
