Hello all,
Just read a short article in Sept 03 Australian Aviculture magazine.
Interesting quote, "Today ,the Australian Wildlife Conservancy....
is announcing that Mr Mike Fidler is donating $600,000 to saving the species
(Gouldian Finch) in the wild and restoring populations to areas where
the endangered birds once thrived."It goes on to say,"One of the first outlays
the organization has made is to headhunt from the NT Government the nation's
leading Gouldian Finch scientist ,Dr. Milton Lewis"
Does anyone know anything about this?
Sounds encouraging if true. That is fantastic private donation particularly as
the donor is an aviculturist.
