FNQ WILDLIFE WEEK

September 19th to the 27th 2003 has been designated as FNQ Wildlife Week. This will be the first time that such an event has been held in Far North Queensland.

FNQ Wildlife Week will be an experience for the entire family. It will be an opportunity to witness the wildlife in their own habitat and to have the vegetation of the Tablelands described to you by experts in their field.

" This is a first for Far North Queensland thanks to the initiative taken by Tropical Tablelands Tourism and is already showing signs of building up into one of the major Tablelands annual events."

Special guest Professor David Bellamy OBE world-renowned English Botanist will be present to officially open the annual FNQ Wildlife Week. Professor Bellamy has generously taken time out from his busy schedule to be the guest of honour at the black tie, candle light dinner on Friday evening September 19th at the Mareeba Wetlands.

Two days of displays, exhibits and guest speakers will also be part of the activities. This will take place at the Mareeba Tropical Savanna and Wetland Reserve Information Centre on Saturday September 20th and Sunday September 21st.
